Our History
We began in 1970 with 2 full time employees providing complete landscape maintenance and applicable support services for major corporations, government entities, private residences, and other establishments in the Triangle area. At that time there were only 3 full time “landscapers” in the area, to our knowledge. In 1970, there were no string trimmers, gasoline hedge trimmers, skid steer loaders, or walk-behind lawn mowers! In 1982, we became incorporated under our current name. Since then, we have grown in a controlled manner, and have seen our industry evolve in many ways.
For example, in the 1980’s we experienced the emergence of the "homeowner association" (condominiums and townhomes) as a significant user of commercial landscape services. The overall intensity of the business has increased to reflect our society’s appreciation for beautiful, manicured lawns and has resulted in the demand for irrigation, intricate plant layouts, annual flower beds, and many other outdoor amenities. We currently have over 30 full time employees, many of which have 10 or more years service with us.
Our Business Philosophy
We try to apply a common-sense approach to all aspects of landscape work. We do not encourage clients to do something that we would not do if the money was ours—even if it costs us work. Having provided landscape maintenance for so many years, we have insight on what happens "years down the road" with different approaches to plant and hardscape installations, not just what something looks like when it has just been done. We are locally owned and although we are not a multi-branch company, we take pride in personal service and rapid solutions to any discrepancy that might arise.
